My Story
I started dancing when I was 4 years old and quickly set my sights on becoming a professional ballerina. I worked hard toward that goal up through my first couple years of college. I think I could have realized that goal, but the competitive nature of ballet at that level really turned me off. It stopped being a source of joy and I didn't want one of my greatest loves to become something I hated, so I stopped dancing for several years. Then I found burlesque. I have been so fortunate to learn from some of the greatest burlesque performers and legends in the country. Although I fell into burlesque a bit by accident, I cannot imagine my life without it. I co-founded and co-produce the award-winning troupe Hot! Take Burlesque with Kitte L'Amour and Rosa Rica. We have such an extraordinary community of talented artists who really uplift one another. I love teaching burlesque for the University of Utah and rebelling against the misogyny of Utah politics. Burlesque is magic!
